UK-based Object Matrix is latest technology partner to offer integration with StrongBox NAS
PR Newswire
AUSTIN, Texas

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Crossroads Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDS) today announced a technology partnership with UK-based Object Matrix Limited, a leading provider of object based nearline storage for the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry as well as select financial and telecommunications firms.

Expanding Crossroads' Technology Alliance partnerships, the Object Matrix MatrixStore appliance can now be deployed with Crossroads StrongBox. MatrixStore provides high-performance data storage and management for content that needs to be parked, edited, distributed or monetized while StrongBox provides high-capacity, low-cost archival storage for completed projects and those shelved for future use.

MatrixStore customers that integrate StrongBox as a protected archive tier will significantly lower content storage costs, ensure protection via LTFS technology, and ensure data availability through policy-driven disk storage. Especially in the content-rich M&E and utilities industries, adding an archive tier can translate into substantial, ongoing savings.

"Customers require secure, reliable storage solutions that integrate seamlessly with their day-to-day workflows," said Jonathan Morgan, CEO at Object Matrix. "With this exciting technical partnership we can provide reliable, secure and instant access to the media assets customers need from disk combined with the economics of LTO storage."

"Our technology partnership with Object Matrix underscores the innovation and unique cost-savings capabilities offered by StrongBox," said David Cerf, executive vice president of strategy and business development at Crossroads Systems. "Our commitment to building solutions on industry standards with no proprietary lock-in allows our customers to deploy best-in-breed solutions for diverse data center needs."
