AUSTIN, Texas, June 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Crossroads Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDS), an intellectual property licensing company, today announced that Aqua Licensing, Crossroads' patent broker, has initiated the marketing of Crossroads' 141 non-'972 patents and pending patents to potential buyers.
On March 22, 2016, Crossroads announced plans to enhance its cash position through the potential sale of its non-'972 portfolio. The patents, which are owned by a limited partnership controlled by an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group, are separated into five families: optimizing command processing, enabling interoperability, managing the network, enhancing tape libraries, and improving data systems.
